The role involves direct patient care, observation, and intervention for individuals with mental health or intellectual developmental disabilities. Key responsibilities include crisis response, vital sign monitoring, hygiene support, and infection control.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct care and monitor patients with mental health or developmental needsSupport hygiene, feeding, and daily living tasks while tracking patient progressRespond to behavioral emergencies using trained techniques and first aidPerform nursing-delegated tasks such as vital signs and specimen collectionEnsure safety and infection control through regular rounds and standard precautionsQualifications & Requirements:EDUCATIONHigh school and specialized training for licensing/certification(s)EXPERIENCEExperience facilitating groups with Mental Health patientsOne year of experience; within a correctional/detention facility preferredLICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSCurrent (and must maintain) unrestricted Psychiatric Technician license in state of practiceCurrent (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS certification through AHACurrent (and must maintain) lifesaving ACLS certification through AHAWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer:We are committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of uniqueness.We celebrate a variety of backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.We encourage you to apply!
