Located in east Fresno County Company is growing at a high rate Newly created role due to forming new business unit Ideal candidate public/private mix however open to candidates coming out of public accounting Strong benefits and retirement match Reports to COO/CFO Base plus bonus opportunity Career growth associated with the role Visibility and partnership with ownership Job Details Job Details: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for the position of Permanent Director of Accounting & Finance. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance and accounting, who is capable of driving the company towards its financial goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing budgeting and cash flow forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. In addition, they will provide strategic financial advice, lead risk management efforts, manage relationships with financial stakeholders, mentor the accounting department, and present financial performance to the board. Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts in collaboration with the accounting department Manage budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning to support operational and strategic goals Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes Develop and implement long-term financial strategies to support business expansion Provide strategic financial advice to the COO/CFO and CEO, including analysis of production costs, pricing strategies, and profitability Lead risk management efforts, identifying and mitigating financial risks Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders Mentor and guide the accounting department, delegating detailed tasks such as ledger management and audit preparation Oversee the accounting team, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to policies Collaborate with department heads to align financial plans with operational needs Foster a culture of financial accountability and process improvement within the finance team Present financial performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the COO/CFO, CEO, and board as needed Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and transparency Provide financial insights to support business development and marketing initiatives Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP) Ability to strategize and solve problems Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and people skills An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers CPA is a strong advantage Interested in hearing more?
