Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Job Details A large, diversified agricultural company is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented Controller to manage accounting functions for multiple business entities. Primary Responsibilities: Provide accurate accounting and financial information to owners and lenders. Oversee all accounting functions and manage a team of approximately 4 staff members. Ensure accuracy and productivity in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Flow, Accrual & Cost accounting, and Financial Statements. Implement internal controls and maintain systems to verify the integrity of all processes and data. Prepare and send information to financial institutions and create annual work papers for audits and tax returns. Collaborate with owners and managers to complete annual budgets. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of proven accounting experience at a Controller level with staff management responsibilities. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration preferred, but relevant work experience is prioritized. CPA preferred but not required. Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (preferably FAMOUS). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple tasks. Experience in agriculture with an emphasis on permanent and row crops preferred but not required.
