(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A reputable K-12 school in Fresno, CA, is seeking a
skilled and certified Sign Language Interpreter to provide on-site
interpreting services through a per diem contract. This position
supports students within the school district, enhancing
communication access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from
various age groups. Key Responsibilities: Deliver accurate and
effective sign language interpretation for K-12 students in
educational settings Collaborate with teachers, staff, and support
personnel to facilitate inclusive communication Maintain
confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics during all
assignments Adapt interpreting strategies to meet the needs of
individual students and classroom environments Participate in
meetings and training sessions as required Qualifications: National
Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter Certification through
at least one of the following: EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher
Registered Interpreter of the Deaf (RID) Membership Educational
Sign Skills Evaluation-Interpreter and Receptive (ESSE-I/R)
NAD/ACCI assessment Proven experience in educational sign language
interpreting preferred but entry-level candidates with strong
credentials are also considered Strong communication skills and
ability to work collaboratively within school settings Location:
Fresno, CA Position Type: Contract, Per Diem Start Date: Immediate
availability desired Assignment End Date: June 11, 2026 This role
