Sierra Meadows Behavioral Heath exists to help restore hope in the
lives of those affected by mental health conditions. We provide
counseling for depression, anxiety, and behavioral health
conditions. In life we will all experience pain, both great and

WHO WE SERVE
Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health provides counseling therapy to
adult men and women with a wide range of mental health conditions.
Our 12 bed residential treatment program serves those who are
having difficulty coping in their home environment due to
heightened mental health symptoms. This includes those struggling
with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders,
PTSD, moderate eating disorders, and more.
Job Purpose: Provide general nursing care to patients in a mental
health treatment center. Create an atmosphere of healing, hope and
comfort. Care for up to 12 patients in a residential, home-like
setting who are recovering from a mental health crisis. Provide
care, treatment and support to patients and assist in providing an
environment of healing. Administer medications, lead life skills
group sessions, listen to patients and document on patients medical
and emotional status. Ensure the environment is safe and patients
feel secure. Oversee all nursing functions and manage a team of
Essential Job Functions:
Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patients'
conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment,
and taking any necessary action. Influence patients' behavior to
assist in their healing.
Administer prescribed oral medications and hypodermic injections,
following physician's prescriptions and hospital procedures and
noting times and amounts on patient's charts.
Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them.
Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight,
temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as taking
temperatures or blood pressures.
Help direct patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal
Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and
modify care, and implement interventions.
Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes, conferring with other
healthcare team members as necessary.
Collect samples for testing.
Provide medical treatment or personal care to patients in private
