The below responsibilities are for the Medical Staff Offices at
Plains Regional Medical Center Clovis and Dan C. Trigg Hospital
Tucumcari:
*Manages the Medical Staffs credentialing and privileging
processes, ensuring compliance with state, federal and national
accreditation organizations.
* Develops departmental policies, procedures, work flows, goals and
objectives; implements PHS policies, procedures and work flows;
ensures departmental accountability and customer satisfaction.
*Manages the internal processes related to the maintenance of the
credentialing files within the system credentialing database.
*Responsible for Medical Executive Committee, Credentials
Committee, and Bylaws Committee meeting agendas and meeting
minutes.
*Ensures that all other committees of the Medical Staff are
supported both in development of meeting agendas, meeting minutes,
and appropriate follow-up.
*Manages the Medical Staffs peer review, focused professional
practice evaluation and ongoing professional practice evaluation
processes.
*Responsible for currency and accuracy of Medical/Dental Staff
Bylaws and Rules and Regulations in accordance with accrediting
organization requirements. Facilitates the distribution of
recommended changes of these documents to the Medical Staff for
review/approval.
*Prepares and monitors the Medical Staff Affairs Office budget.
*Manages the staff within the Medical Staff Affairs Office,
providing direction to ensure the functions of the organized
Medical Staff are carried out.
*Works collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer, Medical
Staff leadership and Administration.
*Manages and ensures that Emergency Department Call schedules are
established and distributed to appropriate hospital
departments.
