  Responsibilities:
  As a Charge Nurse for our Surgery teams, you will have unique opportunities at every corner. With an average of over 26,000 surgical cases per year, you will learn from multiple disciplines, develop close relationships with your close-knit team, and be able to make a difference in the lives of thousands. From trauma, burn, pediatrics, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, gynecology, surgical oncology and much more, your critical thinking and organizational skills will be key as you serve as the liason for your assigned area.
  In this role some of your key responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
  
  • Assists the Clinical Supervisor by serving as Primary Liaison for an assigned care area with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
  • Responsible for coordinating patient flow and staff assignments and the oversight of Patient Safety, Quality, and Regulatory activities on the assigned shift.
    Qualifications:
    Education
    --- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
    Experience
    --- 2 years experience as a Staff RN in the area of assignment or demonstrated competency by achieving a minimum 35 points on RN Competency Model Evaluation form required
    --- 6 months experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a team leadership role required
    Licenses and Certifications
    --- RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
    --- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
