facility is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage
starting ASAP. The facility has a max capacity of 1,232 inmates and
houses both males and females. About the Facility Location The
facility is situated about 12 miles NW of downtown Bakersfield, in
a semi-industrial area. It sits near well-traveled farm roads and
is just East of State Route 99 and West of Route 65 making it
accessible via a short drive on major highways. About the
Clinician's Workday The schedule is Monday-Friday with guaranteed
40 hours per week. They would also consider 2 part-time MDs. The
EMR is being confirmed; it used to be Cerner. Clinicians must be
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible. Patients are referred from
the general population of the Kern County Jail. Client request for
services due to MH symptomology, or for competency restoration
treatment services. Services are rendered to clients with a variety
of symptomology, including patients with/ high acuity of mental
