Overview:

We are looking for an Extern to join our Medical Cardiac Progressive Care team! In your role as an extern, you will be able to take the first steps into an exciting nursing career all while working alongside a collaborative team that will make your growth a priority!

Clovis Community Medical Center opened at its current location as a 109-bed hospital in 1988. Since then, there's been nothing but growth. Today, Clovis Community has 208 private patient rooms and another 144 under construction. We've added a $68 million freestanding Cancer Institute and other specialty programs and now perform more than 13,000 surgeries annually.

Responsibilities:
Works limited time status under the direction of the RN mentor to provide patient care using defined procedures and standards in accordance with the goals of the unit and the philosophy of Community Medical Centers. This position is eligible for becoming an Extern 2 - Work Study once all criteria has been met.
Qualifications:
Education
--- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
--- Enrolled in a school of nursing. Completion of first semester in an ADN Nursing Program or second semester in a BSN Nursing Program. Enrolled in the work study program associated with school of nursing attended required.

Licenses and Certifications
--- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
