Job Description:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Request, gather, review and submissions of the CPR's of each
subcontractor performing work (including non-performance CPRs)
along with the subcontractors lower tiers where applicable along
with the rest of the labor compliance documentation to ensure
timely compliance. Design actions and strategies to ensure or help
ensure compliance with the terms of the contract signed with our
Client.
- Ensure timely submission of the rest of the labor compliance
documentation (required by the Community Benefits Agreement (CBA)
and other applicable labor regulations) to the Client and keep
adequate records of the submittals and labor compliance
documentation.
- Compilation, preparation and submission of the National
Targeted Hiring Initiative reporting on a quarterly and annually
basis.
- Design, implement and execute actions and strategies to ensure
timely compliance with the National Targeted Hiring Initiative
reporting requirements (quarterly and annual plan).
- Design, implement and execute actions and strategies to achieve
our goals set up in our contract signed with the Client regarding
the National Targeted Hiring Initiative requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the apprentices hiring requirements as
per the contract signed with the Client.
- Ensure adequate filing and maintaining of all the labor
compliance documentation.
- Assistance to Subcontractors when needed.
- Preparation and submission of the DFJV own CPRs to ensure
timely compliance.
- Preparation, check requests and submission of the DFJV's
monthly Union Fringes payments and reporting.
- Schedule and organize pre-job meetings for new executed
contracts with scope of works which involved covered work under the
CBA.
- Run the welcome training session to new subcontractors or
service providers with scope of work which fall into the CBA (this
happens the same day the pre-job meeting is held after it).
- Monitor, clarify and resolve any labor compliance violations
and act proactively to propose measures to ensure that the DFJV and
sub-tiers are fully in compliance with the CBA and all the other
applicable Labor Regulations stated in our contract signed with the
Client.
- Prepare replies to the Advisory Notices and other related
Notices sent by the Client, the Department of Industrial Relations
(DIR) and others when needed.
- Report lack of compliance of the subcontractors and fill out
the check lists issued by the Vendors & Subcontractor Payable
Department prior to releasing payments.
- Job Coordinator applicable functions as per the Contract, the
Community Benefits Agreement, the National Targeted Hiring
Initiative requirements and other applicable regulations.
- Provide support to the DFJV Payroll Department when
needed.
- Provide training in labor compliance when needed. REQUIREMENTS
- High School Degree with 15 + years of experience
- Construction industry experience with Contracts of more than
$1,000M in the above mentioned functions is needed.
- Strong computer skills: Office, Excel, Word, Power point,
Outlook and familiarity with ERP systems and experience with LCP
Tracker.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressure
environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong planning, organizational and administrative skills
- Strong communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong judgement in interpreting situations and
prioritization
- Ability to understand and comply with existing procedures and
willing and capable to improve those as needed Annual Salary
$90,000-$110,000 DOE (Actual compensation is subject to variation
due to such factors as education, experience, and skillset)
